2. Scope
This policy explains how we process information when you visit staybotell.com or contact BOTELL.
3. Website delivery and security
When you visit the website, our hosting provider may process technical request information such as your IP address, browser/user-agent information, requested URL, timestamps and diagnostic/security logs.
We use this information to deliver the website, keep it secure, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems.
Where this information is personal data, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.
Our current hosting provider is Vercel Inc. We use a Vercel Pro plan and the applicable Vercel Data Processing Addendum. For restricted transfers from the EEA where a transfer mechanism is required, Vercel’s current DPA incorporates the 2021 EU Standard Contractual Clauses; Vercel also states that it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can request information about the safeguards applicable to BOTELL through hello@staybotell.com.
We do not intentionally place guest messages, passwords, payment details or other sensitive personal information into application logs. Technical and security logs are retained only for the period made available/configured by the hosting service and for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and legal obligations; we do not rely on them as a long-term visitor profile.
4. Optional analytics
Optional analytics is disabled for this informational version of the BOTELL website. This version does not load Plausible Analytics and does not offer an option to enable it. Any later activation of optional analytics will require a separate review and an updated privacy notice before activation.
5. Contacting us by email
If you email BOTELL, we process the information you send, such as your email address, name if provided, and the content of your message, so that we can respond.
This section also applies if you email us directly at support@staybotell.com. We then process the email routing headers needed for delivery/security, your email address, subject and message, and any attachments you choose to send. We do not ask you to send attachments; suspicious attachments are not opened, and unnecessary attachments or excessive personal data may be deleted or minimised where reasonably possible.
We use Contact information to receive, route and respond to your voluntary enquiry and to maintain limited continuity of correspondence where needed. The legal basis for this core processing is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and operating support. We do not use Contact messages for marketing.
If your message concerns an existing booking, a formal complaint or a legal claim, additional legal or operational rules may apply. Where law imposes complaint-handling duties, those duties apply from receipt. If you later choose another separately governed BOTELL process, that process governs any additional processing from that point.
We keep ordinary correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for the inquiry, follow-up and any applicable legal or dispute-management need.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure and restriction. You may complain to Andmekaitse Inspektsioon. Contact hello@staybotell.com to exercise your rights or ask a privacy question.
Your right to object: You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests.
BOTELL does not design Contact processing to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or advertising trackers in the current launch scope.
If BOTELL later adds advertising, remarketing or another non-essential tracking technology, it will be subject to a separate privacy/consent review before activation.
7. Providers and recipients
We use service providers only where needed to operate BOTELL. Current relevant providers include:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and infrastructure;
- BOTELL’s corporate email provider — email delivery and mailbox hosting.
BOTELL uses Zoho Mail for corporate email delivery and mailbox hosting.
Provider roles, data locations and safeguards may change over time. Material changes are reviewed before they are introduced.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion;
- restrict processing;
- receive data in a portable format where applicable;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing;
- lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
In Estonia, the supervisory authority is Andmekaitse Inspektsioon.
To exercise your rights or ask a privacy question, contact hello@staybotell.com.
9. Automated decisions and sale of data
BOTELL does not use the current website analytics scope for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
BOTELL does not sell personal data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy if our website, providers, processing purposes or legal requirements change.
The current version and “Last updated” date will be shown on this page.
